Prayers being Answered

Thanks for your prayers for my Aunt Cec...she's not only my aunt, but has become a great friend as we've had a chance to get to know one another very well with her visits to our home here in Oregon.

I received this update from my cousin Sarah...Cecelia would probably die if she knew we were celebrating BM's, but hey, in this case....it's AMEN to the BM! Thanks to all those who are praying...

Okay, mom is off the narcotics and having clear liquids...amen. Think this is making her feel better since she has not had anything since Sunday. She is trying to make due with only Tylenol and ask the nurse to get her an order for Motrin because that works better, but good luck trying to get that order filled!!! Rachel and her walked all the way up the hallway and mom had walked before Rachel got there. Mom was also up sitting in the chair (since 4am) Rachel said and she had cleaned herself up, of course with no help. She is still with the incision pain, but with an incision like that who would not have pain. She had a bowel movement. YAY!!!! That means things are working correctly. Who thought you would get so excited over something like that!!! We are still hoping that she can come home on Saturday. Will post again after I call her tonight. Rachel said she was going to nap after she left which would be the first time she slept today. Thanks again for all the prayers, they are working.
Love-
Sarah

NOVEMBER 16TH--GREAT NEWS FROM RACHEL--CEC's Youngest Daughter:

Mom is being discharged today!!! Since everything is working and her labs are coming back normal the doctor said she could go home. Of course she asked him if she could go today rather than wait another day. Hospital rooms are not the best places to get a good nights sleep. It will just be nice to be home with your own things. I also have to say that even though Cleveland Clinic is nationally ranked, the nursing care has been lacking. They are not into patient satisfaction and is it too much to ask for a cup of coffee for breakfast?

I did spend several hours with her yesterday. She really looked good. What a difference a day can make. She showed me her incision. Let me say her bikini days are definitely over!

From my Grandfather--Cec's Dad!

Good morning all; Just a note if you haven't read the Fun Family Web this morning.
OUR LITTLE GIRL IS COMING HOME AT NOON TODAY !
This Thanksgiving Season we all have something special to thank God for. Continue to pray for Cecelia and give thanks for our wonderful family.
Love to all, Gramps

BEST OF ALL-- A NOTE FROM CEC AFTER HER ARRIVAL HOME:

Hi everyone!!! Thanks for all the prayers. I feel really [well] considering. Seem to do just fine on the Motrin for pain. THANK GOD HE THREW ME BACK!!!! Love to all, Cec

Praise God!! We know that Cec being a nurse knows how to care for herself and what to watch for, so know that being home is the best place for her. Now, Nurse Rudy will have to take over, as I'm sure her kids will be around this week to help out too. Phew--we're SO relieved!

Thanks for your prayers, and thanks Sarah & Rachel for the great updates. It certainly helped those of us who were so far away!
