Fun Monday

Today started off cloudy, drizzly and gloomy. However, smiling faces showed up at our door around 10:30 and the day got brighter...at least inside.

Tracey and her five showed up and the kids had a fun time playing. The girls were doing crafts and Ryan & Declan were playing GI Joes. Tracey & I visited, and then made the kids lunch. Tracey made up some banana muffins while I fixed lunch, then the kids went back off to play. Nana called as we were fixing lunch, and it was so good to hear her voice. She said she was jealous that Tracey & I were getting a play date! We miss them terribly, and are looking forward to our next visit with Tracey's folks.

Later in the afternoon, Declan had an art lesson for school that he needed to do, so Tracey made if a fun project for all the kids. They all made their own colors from the primary colors and named their new colors. There was "milky way", "brown cow" and "gobstopper"....it was fun. The girls sat around the table later, and made other pretty pictures. Check out Tanya's beautiful painting.

Tracey had a hair appointment in the afternoon, so she left the kids here to play and the girls headed down to play a game, Ryan & Declan were playing a game on the computer and Alyona & I had some time on the computer looking up Disney songs, and Alyona sharing some of her Ukrainian music stars with me. It was interesting, she's doing very well with her English, and we managed to get over most of the language barriers. She did some singing for me, and she has a beautiful voice. I can't take her picture, but she will sing for me!!

We rounded out the day by the guys watching a 20 minute GI Joe movie, and the girls watching part of the new Barbie movie that Kristin received for her birthday. The boys swore they weren't going to watch, but as you'll see in the pictures...they couldn't help themselves.

It was a fun day, full of banana muffins, painting, and enjoying each other's company....until next time...enjoy the pictures!
