Oregon Jamboree--Day 3, August 3

Day three started with us dropping Ryan with Ray, Jim & Robin at camp this morning on our way to church. Ryan helped the guys get chairs in this morning, and watched the first two shows this morning. Phil Stacey (who Ryan really enjoyed) and Glen Campbell (who Ryan said "He sang all "Old Stuff"!!!).

Bill, Kristin & I went to church and then headed home for a nap. Kristin desperately needed a nap (Gee...so did Bill & I)--she slept for 2 1/2 hours, and enjoyed every bit of it! We were refreshed, and headed out to Waterloo to pick up Pat and head into the Jamboree.

We dropped off Kristin & Pat with Ray at the gate, and I went to park the car. It was a VERY full town today...but I was able to park closer, but only by paying for parking. As I walked through the gate, and neared our seats--Kristin's "friend" Fred was passing out her picture as a wanted card, and telling anyone who saw her to call security. (He actually only gave them out to our group...but he had her going for awhile--she even checked out the porta potties, as he had told her he put them in there!!!!). They had great fun today...no water fights, but lots of hugs as today was the last day. We did learn that Fred lives in Lebanon...and Kristin has asked three times before bed tonight when we can go visit Fred & his cows!! Look out Fred...you made a friend!

Kristin likes to pretend she doesn't like Fred--
but the truth is....she was SO disappointed to that
today was the last day of Jamboree

This was a mistake photo...but saw the shirt,
and my Bill loved it!!! Too funny
If you can't read it--It says
Bill's Beer Removal Service
Pints, Pitchers, Kegs
No job to big...not Job too small!!!

Neil McCoy was on at 4:15--and is by far the best performer ever. He draws the crowd in, gets them involved, and there is never a dull moment.

Trace Adkins was next...oh boy...he's great---tall--handsome, and can he dance!! We enjoyed his show almost as much as Neil's--and would certainly go to see him again!

Trace Adkins pictures
(Especially for my good friend Katie--who missed him!)

The evening ended by 8:30---and it was good to get home and relax before 11:00--it's always a busy weekend, but such a fun time. Where else can you get three days of Country Music--13-14 different concerts--for $85.00??? This is the last year we can get Ryan in on a kids ticket....so he will have to do some "earning" if he wants to go next year!

Stay tuned...Bill's folks arrive on Tuesday....more fun to come!
