Christmas Eve in Georgia

This morning started around 7:30--when Bill got up. The boys were up, but the girls had not yet aroused. Tam showered early, and we were off to the grocery store while Bill and the boys were playing with a fun electronic set, and the girls were still snoozing. It was a beautiful morning, and already 60 as we headed out. We had one quick stop to make and then hit the grocery store.

When we returned home, Bill was still at the table with a pretty intricate set up of electronic equipment...lights, radio, and some type of fly wheel. He was having a blast.
The kids played out side today...Tam & I wrapped gifts and had her tradition of watching "Family Man" while wrapping her gifts. (Here I thought I was done wrapping gifts on Christmas Eve!). It was fun, and the movie was great....and also some good sister time!

After wrapping, we had a late light lunch, and a 20 minute nap. Just enough to revive us to make cookies and get supper on the table in time for all 8 of us to shower, and head to church.
It was a great service, complete with the story of Silent Night being originally written for guitar....and it was played by guitar....along with candelight service. (I made to the last line of verse two before I cried)...very moving!

We headed back to Tam & Eric's and had shrimp, crackers & cheese, dips & chips, and cookies. We never did get the cake made, so that will be dessert and we will celebrate tomorrow by singing Happy Birthday to Jesus. We did however watch "The Nativity" as a family, and very appropriate for Christmas Eve....everyone enjoyed it.

The guys special shirts!

The kids were in bed by 12:00 and we had presents out by 1:00. Off to be myself. Merry Christmas! Stay tuned for morning madness to be posted hopefully tomorrow night!

Hugs to all!
