Busy, Busy, Busy

This last week has been a whirlwind to say the least!

Last Friday, after a week of busy Christmas preparation, Bill & I were able to get away for the weekend. We say it's to celebrate my birthday, but it's also a great weekend to hit the outlets, as it is empty over there on the coast. It is a great time to finish (or start) Christmas Shopping! This year, however, we finished Christmas shopping! Yahoo! Even better--we wrapped all the gifts we had for the kids. Now we don't need to hide them!

We enjoyed a great relaxing weekend in good weather, and headed home Sunday afternoon to pick up the kids from Sean & Tracey's (who were kind enough to keep the kids for the weekend). As we passed a gas station, and I saw the lower price--a dream flashed into my mind that I had the night before. Gas was 1.29 per gallon, and being it was so cheap, we decided to head to Tam & Eric's for Christmas (in my dream, of course). We had actually discussed this option earlier in December, when we found out HP would be shut down December 20th-Jan 5th, but decided with diesel still being high, and pulling the trailer, it just wasn't cost effective.

Just a peek at the silliness that these two can dream up.....

I wasn't even done telling Bill my dream, when he was on the phone with my sister...asking their plans for Christmas. The options went from driving, to flying, and back to driving, but just the Suburban, and not the truck/trailer combo. By Tuesday AM we had secured a house/dog sitter, mapped out our route, and finalized the plan to go to GEORGIA for Christmas! We are ALL so excited--it will be great to spend Christmas together, neat to see Tam & Eric's new place (that they've been in almost 3years) and so fun to have a good quality visit, that we havent had since their last visit here to Oregon.

Thankfully, this year, we were ahead of schedule with items we make for Christmas, all of the shopping was done by the time we decided to head to GA, the out of town packages all wrapped, packaged and ready to be mailed, Christmas cards, letter and pictures are just about finished, and things just fell into place for us. Praise God for this opportunity!!

Keep us in prayer as we travel to GA on the 19th--(and probably the 20th, the 21st, and the 22nd!), as well as to wrap up those things here at home that need taken care of before we leave.

We will keep you posted on events! Stay tuned!
