One Barber, One Kitty and One Beer

OK, fun title...you figure it out!!

Bill went for a haircut today, and you can't even begin to believe how fun our barber is?? Where else can you get a haircut, and a beer??!! (See what you missed by not getting your hair cut in Sweet Home Gramps?!) In defense of our barber, it was after business hours and he was closed....so it was all good. His beer of course was just for show...Bill's on the other hand was OH so cold. Bill, who doesn't drink beer any more, savored every sip of that beer, and for once it didn't burn his belly. Not that he's going to take up drinking, but one beer every haircut never hurt anyone!! Maybe he'll get to the barber more often. Thanks Shane! Next time I'll take the real camera instead of the cell phone. A bit blury, but you guys get the picture (no pun intended).

So, you've had one barber, and One Beer (OK, two), now for the Kitty Part of the story:

Ashley is feeling like herself again. She had a good check up at the vet, and a new cast. Two more weeks and she hopefully will be out of the cast, and back on her 4 feet so to speak! She is still having a few dribbles of urine when she sleeps, but it has gotten better each day, and we are praying that this too will correct itself. She is as tired of the puppy pads as we are! The waterproof sheet on the couch is the biggie though but, better than accidents on the couch, as she doesn't understand why she's banned out of certain areas right now. SO, precautionary measures have been taken. Oh, the things we do for our animals. Thanks so much for your prayers on her behalf...we've certainly watched her go from 50/50 to 60/40, and progress more each day. It seemed like we took two steps forward, one step back, bu thankfully, never more back than forward. She is a fighter, and just today, she tried to escape outside...could you just imagine that sight?!! She wasn't limpy either...she was at full tilt, dragging that cast!! She hasn't realized she's ALL inside kitty now. Free kitty, can go outside kitty...money to vet to make you better, stay inside kitty!! Thanks again....we'll keep you posted.

You can see she's pretty happy here in one of her favorite spots.

On other notes....we are working hard at school. Both Ryan & Kristin are back in full swing for almost a month now. They are doing well, and not complaining to their teacher too much! There are some days I wonder why I do this, and then see the time we get to share, and I know why. Not many parents get to do 'history' field trips with their kids...go where they study, and learn what interests them. It has truly been a gift to us. A gift that we've been able to continue with, as we are blessed with Bill's work at HP he faithfully continues with, and with the fact that I can work from home for Dr Joe. Who knew when these two kids came to Oregon that things would work out so wonderfully. God is so good.

SO, if you haven't guess the title...sing a few songs, it might come to you...

So was the beer to hide the bad haircut or maybe to not notice the patch he took out :)

Isn't it great to enjoy friends. Miss you guys.

Maybe it was to help Bill forget the patch that has been missing the last several years!
