July 4th in Canby

Fourth of July--already??

We woke to a sunny morning, and headed to Jen & Brady's about 11am. As we drove north, the closer we got to Albany, the cloudier it got. By the time we were getting off the freeway near Canby, it was sprinkling. Thankfully, it didn't dampen the day much, and we even sat outside a bit.

Tami, Evan & Olin came down from Richland--and it was great to see them. Rodney, Melissa & Brandon came up as well as Eric & Kathy. It was great to visit...and get some baby snuggles in! Brandon was happy to sit on my lap quite awhile, until of course, his MOMMY sat next to us...then I wasn't good enough anymore!! It was a great snuggle though! Olin is full of smiles, and his whole face smiles when he does. It sure was great to get to see them all. Brady's Mom & Carl came as well, and we all enjoyed great 'traditional' 4th of July fare...chicken, hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad (Kathy's (Jen's Mom) yummy homemade stuff!!) and topped off with Kathy (Brady's Mom's) incredible Lemon Meringue pie..awesome!

We had a nice visit and headed home early, as Bill was suffering a migraine. Petey tried to console him to no avail. Thanks Bill for hanging in there long enough for us to get our "kid fixes".

Today (Saturday) was filled with laundry, packing, and 'getting it all together'. Ryan went for a haircut with Declan & Sean...and Bill made a great pot of soup for lunch...yahoo Bill...it was great!

Tomorrow is "put it all in the Suburban" and see if we can fit!! I'll keep you posted! Catch you in a few days!
