Welcome Brooke

Randy, Brooke & Patty

While we were out playing & camping, Randy (Bill's Cousin in Michigan) & Patty, (OK, Patty) was hard at work, delivering their new daughter.....the note we received from Aunt Kathy:

Randy and Patty welcomed Brooke Sophia Burns into the world at 5:26 this afternoon. She weighs 7 lbs 12 oz, and is 26 inches long. What a nice Easter present. Mommy and baby are doing fine.

Congratulations Randy & Patty....we miss & love you!

Bill and Shawnna - Married 25 years (26 in May 2014!) and best friends for 27 years) along with Ryan (18 in Nov 13), Kristin (15 in Oct 13), two dogs (Lexxi & JayDee)and last but not least,three cats (Mr. O'Malley , Bandit AKA Squirrel& Zorro) complete our family. We live in beautiful Oregon, and Thank God each day for the beauty, health and wealthy (OK, comfortable) life that we have here. He has blessed us not only with a wonderful family 2500 miles away, but our wonderful Oregon family as well. Follow along with us...you'll see our love for this beautiful place.

Just for Jami

Below are pictures of our animals. Our friend Jami said she couldn't believe we didn't have pictures of our dogs. SO, if we're going to share the dogs...we need to share the rest of the family! We will spare you the goldfish!

Bailey, our "very fluffy-hairy" shepherd had been with us since 1998. We rescued her from going to the pound when Kristin was 3 weeks old. She recently crossed over that rainbow bridge April 2010--and I don't have the heart to delete her yet.

Chelsea, our "protector" has been with us since Dec of 2001, after our beloved Kahlua passed away. She is great in taking care of and protecting our kids! She too has now passed away in August of 2013. Its sad to not see her with the chickens.

JayDee is another rescue from a friend that needed a good home for her dog. She has been with us since December of 2006.

Lexxi is another addition to our home and a wonderfully gentle gal. She joined us July of 2010--and is settling in nicely. She came to us very timid, but Kristin has worked with her very hard, and she is now one of the family. No doubt, she is Kristin's dog!

"Molly Grace" came to us March 20, 2014 from the middle of Highway 20. She warmed up to us, and after almost 3 weeks her owners found us, and shared that they were looking for a new home for her. While our intent is to always find the lost ones their homes, I'm not sure we could have given her up. Her sweet disposition and puppy like manner have perked our girls up. She & Lexxi have become fast friends and love to run together in the yard.

Mr. O'Malley joined us September of 2002, as a cute, cuddly kitten.

Bandit (AKA Squirrel) & Zorro joined our family on July 27th 2009...what a fun pair they are...so glad we picked two!

Thirty chickens round out our farm. They hang out at the "Chick-Inn"...the kids revamped/re-purposed playhouse. We love the fresh eggs.

Last but not least...Kristin's Horse Legacy. She is a gift and blessing to Kristin. Sirprize isn't officially hers, but we can't leave this without his mention, as he is hers in his heart, and she is his in hers.

They are all unique in their own ways--and we love each of them!
